"In
memory of SAMUEL GRIERSON, farmer at Priestside who died 9th Jany
1855, aged 56 years. Also MARY & ROBERT, children of the above
who died in infancy. ----- And, MARGARET, his daughter who died 20th
February 1861 aged 27 years. Also MARGARET UNDERWOOD, relict of the
above who died at Ayr 13th April 1886 aged 77 years. ----- Also JANE
daughter of the above who died at Ayr 21st Septr 1886 aged 31 years.
Also JOSEPH GRIERSON farmer in Uppertown who died 1st Jany 1892 aged
64 years.
Also GEORGE
JOHN GRIERSON youngest son of the above who died at Urana N.S.W. 4th
July 1904, aged 34 years. Also MARGARET LANDELLS, relict of the above
JOSEPH GRIERSON who died 10th Novr 1911 aged 85 years. Also WILLIAM
JAMES GRIERSON, farmer in Priestside who died at Rose Cottage, Annan
3rd Decr 1923 aged 61. ----- Also his brother SAMUEL GRIERSON who
died at Rose Cottage 28th June 1924 aged 64 years." (Index #129
