Lifelong resident
of Saginaw County, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Thursday at his home. Age
84 years. He was born Nov. 19, 1868 in Blumfield Township, and
married Miss Marie Hoetzel,
there, Sept. 10, 1893. She survives him. They lived on a farm in
Spaulding Township until 1926, then moved to a farm near Freeland,
where they lived until Nov. 1952, when they moved to their present
home. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving besides
his wife are four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Foy, Burt; Mrs.
George Eastman, Mrs. Claude Royal, Mrs. Joseph Brasseur,
Jr., all of Saginaw; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; also
one sister, Mrs. Lina DeMun, Detroit.
Funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. Monday at the Case Chapel.
Rev. S. T. Bottrell will officiate, with burial in Roselawn Memorial
Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Saturday. |
