Elizabeth was the daughter of John and Mary (RAPP) LUTZ. She was born July 14, 1861 in West Henrietta, New York. Elizabeth had at least two sisters: Emma LUTZ and Mary (LUTZ) WILBURN, wife of George Edward WILBURN. Elizabeth moved to Michigan with her parents at an early age and spent much of her life in Freeland, moving to Saginaw in 1918. At the time of her death on September 17, 1946, she resided at 1520 Brenner Street, Saginaw, Michigan. Elizabeth is buried in Freeland, Michigan at Pine Grove Cemetery.

Elizabeth was married to Mark Hamilton EASTMAN (see picture below) and they had 4 children: John L. (born in Freeland, Michigan around 1884), Charles Amhurst (born in Kent City, Michigan in 1885), George Edward Wilburn (born in Sparta, Michigan in 1888), and Mary E. "Maizie" (born in Freeland, Michigan in 1896).

EASTMAN, MRS. ELIZABETH
1520 Brenner St.

Age 85, widow of Mark H. EASTMAN, passed away at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17th at Saginaw General Hospital. Elizabeth LUTZ was born July 14, 1861, at West Henrietta, N.Y. She came to Michigan with her parents at an early age and spent much of her life in Freeland, coming to Saginaw in 1918.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Maizie and George of Saginaw, John of Grand Rapids, Charles of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Saturday, 2 p.m., at Case chapel, Dr. Henry W. Fischer officiating, burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Freeland. Mrs. EASTMAN may be seen at the Case chapel after Thursday noon.
