Passed away
Sunday, May 30, 1999 in Texas. Age 78 years. He was born September
11, 1920 in Portland, Oregon, living in Saginaw most of his life. He
married Merrilla Leppert,
April 17, 1942; she passed away June 19, 1993. He was employed by
General Motors, Chevrolet Service Parts Plant, retiring in 1975 after
over 34 years of service. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was a member of First Congregational Church.
Surviving are one
son, three daughters and their spouses, Warren
and Ruth Kent Jr., Greenville, Mich.; Rilla
and Gil Allen, Duncanville, Texas; Kathleen
and Stanley Dulaney, Auburn, Mich.; Carol Kent,
Grass Lake, Mich.; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a
sister and her husband, Julia and Bruce Obuchowski, Kalamazoo, Mich.;
several neices and nephews. A son, Wallace Kent,
five brothers and sisters have predeceased him.
The funeral
service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 1999 at the W.L.
Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Stanley R.
Dulaney will officiate with military burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday. Those
planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Paralyzed
Veterans of America or the Humane Society. |
