Final Rights
Held For W.F. England
Final rights for
William Frank England, aged 89, pioneer Hunt County farmer, who died
Saturday afternoon at his Aldredge Street residence, were held Sunday
at 2 p.m. at the Sheely Funeral Chapel. Services were conducted by
Rev. Elmer Page and Rev. Denton.
Burial followed in
Rosemound Cemetery.
A large number of
friends from over this sectionof the state attended the services.
Mr. England was
born in Tennessee, Oct. 9 1860. He moved to Texas 71 years ago,
settling in the Jardin community where he was engaged in farming. He
moved his family to commerce 14 years ago and has resided here since.
He was a
consistent member of the Baptist faith and had been active in church
and civic affairs of Commerce for almost half a century.
He is survived by
two brothers, Hatton and Bob England, of Commerce, two daughters,
Mrs. C. B. Sissell of Commerce; and Mrs. J. T. Odell of, of Phoenix,
Arizona. He also left 30 other descendants. |
