To know Mackenzie
is to know Eddie!
Grandpa
and Grandma EASTMAN gave Mackenzie an Eddie doll for his 1st
Christmas in 2000. He didn't immediately take to the doll, but
sometime during 2001, they became inseperable. At first he called it
his "boy." We didn't even know he had a name. Then we
discovered he was a Fisher Price Little People character. Believe it
or not, there are books, videos, figurines and more with Eddie and
the other Little People friends.

If you ask
Mackenzie who his best friend is, he will tell you Eddie. We even had
to have Eddie in our family Christmas picture in 2002 because Mackie
wouldn't stop crying when we took him away.

On a very sad
note, in early November 2003, a neighbor kid came over and threw
Eddie up in the attic somewhere in the air ducts. After hours of
trying to find him in some impossible to get to places (not to
mention the horrible itch of the insulation), we gave up our search
for original Eddie. But not to disappoint poor Mackenzie, we told him
that Santa had taken him up to the North Pole to clean and repair
him. About 5 days later, new Eddie arrived on our front door in a
package from Santa (apparently Santa buys his toys on eBay!). And now
all is well with the world again! |
