Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, November 10, 2002 at Alterra Healthcare after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. Age 82 years. The son of the late George and Edna Eastman was born May 6, 1920 in Saginaw where he resided all of his life. He graduated from Arthur Hill Technical School. He married Lois Archangeli, May 29, 1942. She predeceased him in 1993. He was employed as a tool grinder by General Motors Grey Iron Foundry, retiring in 1978. He was a life member in the Masons and Past Master of the Salina Lodge #155 F.&A.M., a member of the Martha Washington Chapter #113 O.E.S., the Bay City Consistory of the Scottish Rites Bodies; the Elf Khurafeh Shrine. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one son, two daughters and their spouses, Wayne and Gloria Eastman, Avon Lake, Ohio; Cheryl and Richard Diener, Pinconning; Jo Anne and Phillip Karow, St. Charles; eight grandchildren, Paul Eastman, Robyn England, Laura and Jenna Eastman, Rachel Johnson, Stacy Bodrie, Annie Diener; eight great grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Ken and Madeline Eastman; Clare and Pat Eastman; his brother-in-law and his wife, Don and Kay Archangeli; many neices and nephews. Three special friends, Jim Pequinot, Becky Meeker and the Rev. Asa Compton.

The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2002, at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Asa T. Compton will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday where the Salina Lodge #155 F.&A.M. will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Michigan Parkinson's Foundation, the Alzheimer's Disease Assoc. Mid-Michigan or Second Presbyterian Church.
