The recording was made in December, 1971. Lois decided that since
her son Wayne
and his family had moved to Texas, it would be nice if they could
send tape recordings back and forth. This clip is from one of the
tapes that passed back and forth. Lois would often read children's
stories on tape and send them to her grandchildren, Robyn
and Paul. |

Passed away
at her home Tuesday, April 22, 1993 following a lenghtly illness. Age
70 years. Lois Irene Archangell was born January 14, 1923 in
Carrollton. She married Lloyd G. Eastman
May 29, 1942. He survives her. She was a graduate of Arthur Hill High
School in 1941, attended Delta College and was graduated from
Michigan State University in 1968. She received her Masters of
Education Degree from M.S.U. She had taught fifth grade at Mackinaw
Middle School for about 15 years. She was a member of Second
Presbyterian Church, the Tri-County Rock and Mineral Club, the
Bethlehem Chapter #105 O.E.S., the Order of the White Shrine of
Jerusalem, the Daughter's of the Nile and the Michigan Assoc. of
Retired School Personel. Surviving besides her husband are one son
and two daughters and their spouses; Wayne
and Gloria Eastman, Avon Lake, Ohio; Cheryl and Dick Diener, Saginaw;
Jo Anne and Phil Karow, St. Charles; eight grandchildren, Paul
Eastman, Jeff Karow, Robyn
Eastman, Rachel Karow, Stacy Denier, Laura Eastman, Annie
Denier, Jenna Eastman; one great-grandson, Zachariah Eastman; her
mother, Margaret Archangeli,
Standish; two brothers and their spouses, Bob
and Elaine Archangeli, Standish; Don
and Kay Archangeli, Saginaw; two brothers-in-law and their spouses,
Ken and Madeline Eastman, Prescott; Clare and Pat Eastman, Bay City;
many loving nieces and nephews. Her father, Fred
Archangeli, a sister, Helen Archangeli
and a special sister-in-law, Kate Archangell have predeceased her.
The funeral
service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the W.L. Case and
Company Funeral Chapel, 409 Adams St. Rev. Asa T. Compton will
officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call
at the chapel, 409 Adams St. from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 2:00
to 5:00p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday. Those planning an
expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Shriners Hospital for
Crippled Children Burn Units or the Alzheimer's Association. |
