About Me Thanks for stopping by my web site. My name is Robyn (EASTMAN) ENGLAND. Here's a recent picture of me. It's from my driver's license of all places! The good news is that I actually like the picture ... the bad news is my license expires the day I turn 40! My interest in genealogy started in late 1998 just after I had my second child. I thought that some day, my children would want to know something about where they came from. About that same time, we bought our first computer. At the time I had very little knowledge of how to work a computer. However, I started digging around at genealogy sites like Ancestry.com. Soon, I figured out how to use the Internet to research my ancestry as well as meet distant relatives. The database I collected in a very short time was unbelievable. The next step was that I wanted to create a web site to share with my family members. Again, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. So I went to the local business supply store and bought a cheap "build your own web site" CD. Little by little, I learned how to create a web site. Also, my Dad just happens to know all about computer graphics. He supplied me with all of the computer programs I needed and answered many questions for me. I built the web site I wanted and published it for everyone to see and I was very happy with it. During 1999 I added to it quite regularly. Then in 2000, our twins were born! Needless to say, with 4 children the genealogy research (and just about anything else that resembled a hobby) came to a sudden stop. For the next 3 years, I continued to fine-tune my web design skills and even started a web design company (Robyn's Web Design). And now that all of the kids are bigger, I have a little free time to myself, so for Christmas 2003, I decided to totally re-design this genealogy web site and give it to my parents as a Christmas gift. I hope you enjoy it, too. Come back often as I have promised to update it at least once per month. Please contact me with any comments or questions. And most importantly, if you have any old photos that are related to any of my family lines, PLEASE let me know. I am trying to collect as many photographs as possible for this site.
